Why choose GLAA?
We all desire the best for our children. That is why all parents want to find excellent education, the best education for their children. Parents desire a school where the environment is safe, the day is structured, and the academics are excellent.
We believe that’s exactly what you’ll find here at GLAA; the trademarks of a safe, structured school, a school that excels in the best that education can offer.
There are several reasons to consider private education: Many people find the student to teacher ratio in the classroom to be too large in public schools; they fear their child will not get the help they need. Others fear that their child will be exposed to inappropriate social situations and conversation at a young age and still others seek a more driven and focused learning environment. Whatever the reason you’re considering Great Lakes Adventist Academy, we believe that we offer the best learning and social environment for the high school age group.
GLAA graduates find themselves better prepared academically, socially, and individually for the college experience than their peers. Alumni testimonials indicate our graduates get into more competitive schools, perform better in their college courses, and are better able to balance the various demands of their time and energy. This means they can set their sights high and achieve great things.
So, what is so special about Great Lakes Adventist Academy?
It is what we believe and how we exhibit it that sets us apart from not only public education, but from other private settings around us as well. We believe that Jesus Christ lived, died, and rose again, and that by Him rising, we now have forgiveness of sins and the hope of eternal life with Him in heaven. All of this is recorded for us in the Bible, which we believe is God’s Holy Word, and which directs our steps through life as well as each day here at GLAA.
How do your religious beliefs make a great school?
At GLAA, Christ-centered education means that we take with us the truth of Christ’s salvation and the values he has to us given into each class and each part of our day. It is our goal to prepare our students for a life time of service to the Lord, in any college, job, or future that lies ahead of them. Young Christians, preparing not only for the future academic challenges of high school and college, or gathering the skills necessary to succeed in a vocation, but learning to be life-long Christians. Isn’t that an excellent goal?
Why pay for something I can get for free?
That’s an excellent question, and honestly, the answer depends on you. Though we wish we could offer excellent, private, Christian education for nothing, we cannot. If in your search for a school, you’ve already settled on attending a private school, you may be prepared to pay tuition. You may, however, be someone who is still weighing your options at a local public school. Whatever the case, we can offer you the opportunity to invest in your child’s education as well as give them an opportune setting to grow closer to Christ. Here you can be sure they will receive the academics they need for a successful future.
