Craig Cleveland was born in Niles, Michigan, and spent his first 6 years in Houghton and Hancock, Michigan, before going with his pastor father, mother and 3 sisters to Alabama, New Hampshire, and Africa. As a young boy, Craig expressed an interest in playing the violin. His parents bought him one and asked him to make a deal with them—to not only play great sounds, but sounds that would bring to mind words of sacred truth. He agreed to the deal, not realizing how much that simple pledge would guide his future. Expanding his love of music, he began playing in string ensembles and coordinating them, even performing 52 gospel concerts in one year. Craig cut an album at age 20 and started his first choir. Soon after he accepted a call to British Columbia, Canada, where for 23 years his desire to see Jesus uplifted in music grew into a ministry bigger than his dreams with a full orchestra and singers, many CD and DVD productions, and unprecedented appearances on several television networks.

Craig and his wife Dawna have four children: James, Ethan, Andrew, and Lynnelle. Craig’s favorite hours are spent with his family out in nature—dirt biking, water-skiing, snow skiing, gardening, or just walking with his sweetheart, Dawna.

Craig’s greatest passion is to share the good news of Jesus’ soon return, especially through music.
